About

Founded in 1729, Ruinart is the oldest sparkling Champagne house with a grand history.  Now owned by LVMH, it has 17 hectares (42 acres) of vineyards, mainly in Montagne de Reims but also in Cote des Blancs.  Ruinart produces a range of champagne with blends of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier, but is best known for its Dom Ruinart Blancs de Blancs Vintage.  The Ruinart crayères is a labyrinth of in chalk chambers sometimes up to 38 meters deep, which became French historical monument in 1931.
