2012 Roger Brun La Pelle Ay Grand Cru

£ 53.00   Bottle, 1 x 75cl

About

Led by the charismatic ex-rugby player Philippe Brun and based in the village of Ay Grand Cru close to Epernay, House Roger Brun has a reputation for producing strong and bold champagnes made with a high proportion of Pinot Noir. The La Pelle Grand Cru is made from 100% Pinot Noir from the single vineyard of La Pelle in Ay and shows the skill and personality of Philippe, as well as what to expect from a Grower Champagne compared to a Grandes Marques. Due to his respected reputation, Philippe also manages Krug’s vineyards in the village of Ay, as well as presses grapes for many respected Champagne houses like Charles Heidsieck.
