About

Renowned for its top-end champagnes, made from a tantalising blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, Deutz is a reputable Grand Marque that excites enthusiastic wine drinkers across the globe.  Nestled in the Ay region of Champagne, the Grand Cru village of Champagne Appellation in North-East France, Deutz was originally founded in 1838 by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann with the Deutz house now boasting 3 kilometres (1.8 miles) of chalk cellars ideal for producing Brut Classics and Rose.  It’s been owned by the Rouzard family since 1983 - who own Louis Roederer - and legend has it that Madonna famously drinks Amour de Deutz Rose.
To get this style and appearance, the domain adds to the blend a small percentage of red wine coming from the parcel of “La Pelle” located in Aÿ and “Cumaine” and “Charmont” from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ.
