Taittinger is considered as one of the greatest champagnes houses, and has the distinction of being independently owned and managed by the family: Pierre-Emmanuel, his daughter Vitalie and son Clovis.  Located in Reims, Taittinger has large vineyards, spanning over 280 hectares (700 acres).  The Prestige Cuvee Comte de Champagne is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes selected from 5 villages with a Grands Crus classification (Chouilly, Avize, Cramant, Oger, Mesnil-sur-Oger).
